Ben & Jerry’s is an ice cream brand with a strong social conscience — but in Portugal, that side of the brand wasn’t widely recognized yet. One of the first initiatives to change that was a civic campaign encouraging people to vote in the Portuguese legislative elections.

We know that when you don’t vote, you leave the decisions up to others. To highlight just how important every single vote is, we imagined a world where even your ice cream choices were made for you. Like being forced to eat only vanilla. Enjoy!
The campaign rolled out across digital platforms, outdoor media, and even took to the streets with a fully branded tour bus that travelled around Lisbon. It successfully sparked conversation, raised awareness about the value of voting, and helped engage younger audiences — many of them voting for the first time — in their civic responsibilities.
